Cutting Boards
It seems that a somewhat cliched woodworker's gift is to make cutting boards to give away. And so here is a short list of a number of cutting boards that were build, and most were given away. Not exactly original, but the layering of different and contrasting woods gives a nice look to the boards.

Cutting Board
It seems that the clichéd wood project is to build a cutting board. This one was made with the help of a friend's CNC machine. Layers of maple, walnut, and mahogany were stacked and glued, and then the CNC cut the outer edge and the juice groove.

Small Cutting Board with Finger Grip Handles
While making the larger board, I also thought it would be nice to have some more compact buddies. The smaller boards did not have room for a juice groove.
It is hard to tell from this image, but this is roughly 12" x 9".

Second Cutting Board
This time, I tried to make a cutting board using a table saw, a slab flattener, and a router for the juice groove.

Large Cutting Board with Juice Groove
This board is roughly 18" x 12". This board is larger in case mistakes were made when rounding the edges. In that case, the mistake could be cut off, but fortunately, no mistakes (that could not be sanded out) were made.
