Midway's Hanger and Flight Deck Aircraft

The USS Midway Museum has over 30 restored aircraft and helicopters displayed on the Midway's Hangar and Flight Decks. The aircraft spanned decades, from the Battle of Midway in 1942 to the Korean and Vietnam Wars, to today's tactical aircraft. The collection includes various types of military aircraft such as F-8K Crusader, A-4F Skyhawk, F/A-18A Hornet, TBM Avenger, F9F Panther, F9F-8P Cougar, RA-5 Vigilante, SBD Dauntless dive bomber, EKA-3 Skywarrior, and H-34 Sea Bat. The collection includes jets, propeller planes, and helicopters that showcase the evolution of carrier aviation throughout the ship's service history.
