Sedona Christmas
December 2025
'Twas not a white Christmas. Instead, we decided to spend Christmas week in a somewhat warmer, much more scenic desert area: Sedona, Arizona. This is a well-known tourist destination, and, as I later learned, a very busy Christmas destination. In addition to Sedona, we made a couple of day trips to nearby areas. The general itinerary was:
-
Tour around Sedona, taking some of the more popular (and easy) trails through scenic areas.
-
Take a day trip to Grand Canyon Village/South Rim.
-
More Sedona scenic trails and visits to Native American Cliff Dwellings.
-
A second day trip, this time to Flagstaff
Sedona, Grand Canyon, and Flagstaff have many trails, parks, and sites to see, but we managed to see only a small percentage of what we wanted to. Much of what we wanted to see, and did photograph, ended up being many spectacular rock formations. Many of the activities we experienced are captured on four photo-blog pages, linked below. On those pages, I provide a short description of the events, and then some of the better photos taken that day. The pictures and buttons below link to these pages.
