Naval Tactical Data System

(Click on Picture to Bring Up Full Image)

This NTDS (Naval Tactical Data System) console, similar to those found in the Combat Information Center, is located near the admiral's quarters and serves a distinct purpose for flag-level situational awareness. Rather than being used for direct tactical control, this station allowed the admiral and senior staff to monitor the operational picture—tracking friendly and hostile units, reviewing radar and sensor data, and maintaining awareness of fleet-level movements and engagements.
