The USS Midway's dental lab facilitated in-house fabrication and repair of crowns, dentures, and other prosthetics, allowing for rapid turnaround without dependence on shore-based facilities. It was equipped with compact, ship-adapted tools for casting, molding, and polishing, and was staffed by trained dental technicians.
