Air Warfare

The Air Warfare area on the USS Midway, part of the Combat Information Center (CIC), focused on detecting, identifying, tracking, and defending against airborne threats. Personnel coordinated radar surveillance, evaluated potential threats, directed fighter intercepts, and managed shipboard and airborne weapon systems for air defense. They also communicated with allied units to ensure coordinated airspace control and threat response.
