Admiral's Day Cabin
(Click on Picture to Bring Up Full Image)

The Midway Museum preserves the Admiral's quarters, which include the Day Cabin shown here to illustrate the stark contrast between enlisted berthing and Flag officer accommodations. The artwork within the room—including aviation paintings and ship sketches—reinforces the identity of the ship's aviation mission and strategic naval role. During active service, access to this space was stringently controlled for security reasons, and it remained a center of authority and command, particularly during high-tempo operations or combat situations.
