More Communication Gear

(Click on Picture to Bring Up Full Image)

This image depicts a bank of analog and early digital radio transceivers, along with their associated control units. These are likely AN/URC and AN/WSC series radios, commonly used in Cold War-era U.S. Navy ships. The numerous knobs, switches, and meters indicate that frequency tuning, modulation control, and power adjustment of this equipment were manually controlled. The tightly packed, modular rack layout enables redundancy and cross-band operations, allowing for simultaneous communication with aircraft, ships, and shore stations.
