Display and Decision Room

The Display and Decision (D&D) area was the tactical hub of the Combat Information Center (CIC). It integrated sensor data to create a real-time tactical picture, enabling personnel to monitor and display air, surface, and subsurface tracks for quick threat identification. This information aided in making decisions regarding air defense and battle group coordination.

The Display and Decision area focuses on assembling and presenting the overall tactical picture. In contrast, the Air Warfare section specializes in evaluating airborne threats and directing air actions based on this information.
