The Detection and Tracking area on the USS Midway identified, tracked, and reported surface, subsurface, and airborne contacts. Detection and Tracking personnel maintained a real-time tactical picture of the surrounding battlespace using radar, Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) systems, and electronic surveillance.
